MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND PLAN ON ATTENDING OUR 2ND ANNUAL REUNION
Now for all the details:
We are staying in a campground at Heise Hot Springs. We have resereved a secluded, grassy, shady area that will accomodate our entire family all in one area :D There are full hookups available and dry camping, however, if you are planning on bringing a Camp Trailer instead of a tent and you did not bring one to Star Valley please let me know as soon as you can, we have only planned on 4 of the spots we reserved being used for Camp Trailers all the rest are for dry camping, food preperation and reunion events.
Things to do at Heise: We are right by the Snake River for fishing, we are 4 miles down the road from Ririe Resevoir for jet skiing & water skiing, the campground we are staying at has a beautiful SHADY pool and hot pools, there is hiking & mountain biking, there is a small golf course, and best of all there is FAMILY.

Sunday July 11,2010

  • Breakfast provided by the Reunion
  • Clean-up and say our Good-byes until next year (and the torch gets turned over to the Bryan Bowman Family :D)

The Cost & Donations:

  • The cost is $25 per person, which includes all 3 nights of accommodations, Sunday breakfast, young at heart activities, and various other Reunion related expenses.
  • In order for us to keep the price down, the entire fee for each family (or person) has to be recieved by Stephanie no later that FEBRUARY 1, 2010. There will be no discounts given if you cannot attend the entire event. The price has been determined by the number of participants at our last reunion.
  • We are asking the Siblings and their Families to donate and be responsible for 1 meal.
  • We are asking each Family to donate at least 1 item to be auctioned off at the Family Auction Night. Please remember that there are little people as well as big people that will be participating in this activity, so please keep this in mind when you are thinking of an item or items to donate. We will gladly take more than 1 item if you would like to do that, the more we have the more fun it will be and I know we have alot of very talented and creative members of our family.
  • The Hanson family will also be providing the Raffle Quilt (and it is almost done). Raffle tickets will again be $1 each or 6 for $5.

I'm a little late in posting to our blog about the Reunion, but I wanted to say THANK YOU to all who came and supported what has now become our 1st Annnual Bowman Family Reunion. It has been decided that Garnette's family is in charge of planning the next Reunion and that we will now be getting together on a yearly basis. YEAH!!!! So look for information to be heading your way about next year.

IT'S TIME FOR MY EVER SO FAMOUS REQUESTS!!

And you all thought you were gonna get off easy:D



It's really not all that bad, but I thought I better get this posted so everyone could start working on what they needed to do.


The Planning Committee met on March 25 and covered a lot of things and decide to put some assignments out to each of the Sibling Families (meaning Garnette, Bryan, Drew, Stephanie & Mark) so each sibling is responsible for their family assignments:D


So here we go!!!!


1. We will be doing a powerpoint presentation of our families and Mark is asking for digitally scanned or pictures on a cd of your families. Because of the time involved in putting this together Mark would like to have these pictures by the 15th of May (it was suppose to be April, but I didn't get the post out).


2. We will be ordering shirts with a "Bowman Family Reunion" logo on them. They are baseball type shirts with 3/4 sleeves, and range from sizes xs child to 6x Adult the cost for each shirt will be $10. If you are interested in shirts you need to have your sizes and money to me no later than June 1, 2009.


3. We are putting together a Family Recipe Book and would love to have you share your favorite recipes with us. Please send your recipes to me by June 15, 2009.


4. We will be having a fundraising event during the Reunion and we are asking each Family to donate A Gift Basket to be raffled. My mom and I have also donated a quilt for the raffle. Raffle tickets will be for sale for $1 each or 25 for $20.


I think that is everything, hopefully I haven't forgotten something. Thank you everyone and I can't wait for the Reunion, the planning is coming along very nice and I think we are all going to have a great time. If you have any questions please let me know. Love you all Tracey:D

More Reunion Info

Bowman Family Reunion
July 16-19, 2009

My siblings and spouses will pay $100.00 per couple
Family members +18 years old - $25.00 per person
Family members 10-18 years old - $10.00 per person
Under 10 years old - $5.00 per person

This money will be used for 6 meals, swim pass, welcome bag and miscellaneous reunion stuff.
Please send your check payable to "Bowman Family Reunion" and mail it to Stephanie Davis -1460 Marguerite - Pocatello, ID 83201 before May 1, 2009. We felt that paying this amount before May 1 would help alleviate some of the expenses closer to the actual reunion. The cost of the lodging will be over and above this amount. I have listed the lodging costs below. Each
of you will have to make reservations in your name for the lodging before March 1, 2009. Star Valley Ranch will charge a deposit on a credit card to reserve your spot. You can stay in the cabin, a hotel room, trailer space, or tent site. The telephone number for Star Valley Ranch is 307-883-2670. When you make the reservation be sure to tell them you are with the "Bowman Family Reunion" group and they will be sure to keep our group together.

Cabin -1 queen bed, 2 full beds -$295.00 for 3 nights
Motel Room - 2 queen beds & kitchenette - $ 65.00 per night
Trailer space - -$ 18.00 per night
Tent cabin - bed only - $25.00 & $ 28.00 per night
(no bathrooms, you will use shower facility)
Tent sites - $6.00 per night
Dogs are allowed in the tent cabin and tent sites only.

Hello to all;

We are off and running with the planning of the first Ralph and Jean Bowman Family Reunion.

Remember the dates are July 16 – 19, 2009 with a Sunday morning brunch before everyone leaves. There will be some activities planned and some you will be able to do on your own. A list of activities will be posted to the web page soon. We want this to be pretty laid back. The main idea is to reacquaint with each other.

Mark, Trish, Tracey and I got together to discuss some of the events and cost. I wanted to get this email and attachment to each of you so you could start planning your finances. Hopefully this will work for everyone but if there are some issues with the cost please let me know.

Please note from the attachment that we need to make reservations at Star Valley by March 1.
